Fish Tails
(Lies, exaggerations and other tall tales)

Aug. 13, 2025 - Dave Easthon and Jeff Neuman fished with Captain Denny Voyles out of Cedar Key. Dave caught a personal best redfish of 40". So far they have caught one 4' black tip shark. He reports they are being encircled by dolphins, rays and tarpon. A direct attack will soon be coming - hopefully it will result in a large tarpon taking the bait. Good luck Dave and Jeff and stay safe!

On Sun. Oct. 19, 4 club members ventured into the Gulf - Dave Easthon, Catherine Pflueger, Pete Liebig and Dave Miley.

They fished aboard the Tail Walker with Captain Andrew Meyer. The fishing started slow, catching a few short trout. We caught 6-7 nice Reds, with John landing a 28.5 incher which was released due to being out of the permitted slot. Capt. Andrew continued to work hard to find the fish (as he always does).

The fishing picked up as the tide reached the islands and the Reds retreated into the overhanging branches on the gulf islands. Captain Meyer expertly cast underneath the branches where the bugger Reds were hiding. They readily took shrimp and cut Lady fish. They limited out multiple times.
